Tradeline

A record of a specific credit account or vendor relationship, such as a loan, credit card, or supplier account, that appears on a business's or individual's credit report.

Each tradeline shows details like the account type, credit limit or amount, payment history, and current balance, and credit bureaus aggregate a business’s or individual’s tradelines to help calculate an overall credit score.

A longer history of positive tradelines, on-time payments across multiple accounts, generally supports a stronger credit profile than having few or no reported accounts, which is part of why using and paying down trade credit responsibly can help build business credit over time.
