Global Cash Flow

A combined view of cash flow from a business and its owner's personal finances, used to evaluate a loan's affordability across both sources together.

Rather than looking at the business in isolation, global cash flow analysis adds the owner’s personal income, other debt obligations, and (if relevant) income from other businesses they own, since a personal guarantee often ties the owner’s finances to the loan’s outcome anyway.

This combined view matters most for smaller businesses where the line between business and personal finances is thinner, and it can work in a borrower’s favor when the business alone wouldn’t fully support the loan but personal income helps close the gap.
