Purchase Order Financing
Short-term funding that pays a supplier directly so a business can fulfill a confirmed customer order it doesn't yet have the cash to produce or purchase inventory for.
The financing company pays the supplier (or a deposit) on the business’s behalf, the goods ship to the customer, and the business repays the advance, plus a fee, once the customer invoice is collected – often paired with invoice factoring to bridge the full order-to-cash cycle.
It’s most useful for businesses that land a large order beyond their current working capital, like a distributor or wholesaler, where the gap between paying a supplier and getting paid by the end customer would otherwise stall the sale.
