Cash Flow
The movement of money in and out of a business over a given period.
Cash flow refers to the net amount of money moving into and out of a business over a specific period. Positive cash flow means more money is coming in than going out; negative cash flow means the opposite, even if the business is otherwise profitable on paper.
Cash flow is one of the most closely watched metrics in small business funding, since a business needs sufficient cash flow – not just revenue or profit – to comfortably cover loan payments.
