SBA 7(a) Loan
The SBA's most common loan program, offering government-guaranteed financing through participating lenders for a wide range of business purposes, from working capital to real estate.
Because the SBA guarantees a portion of the loan, lenders can extend more favorable terms, like longer repayment periods and lower down payments, than they might offer on a conventional loan of similar size, in exchange for a more document-heavy application process.
7(a) loans are flexible enough to cover working capital, equipment, real estate, refinancing, or a business acquisition, which is why it’s often the SBA program business owners hear about first, though approval can take considerably longer than most alternative financing options.
