Stipulations
Specific documents or conditions a lender requires before finalizing a loan or advance, often listed after conditional approval and before funding.
Common stipulations (often shortened to “stips”) include recent bank statements, tax returns, a voided check, proof of business ownership, or a signed application, and funding is typically held until every listed stipulation is submitted and reviewed.
Responding quickly and completely to a stipulation request is one of the biggest factors in how fast a deal actually funds once it’s been conditionally approved.
